Originally built in 1933 and last renovated in 1978, the Cambridge Rindge and Latin School (CRLS) is an icon in the City of Cambridge, but was in need of significant upgrades to continue to serve its community. After an intensive planning and fundraising effort, the City embarked on the process to revitalize CRLS for a new generation of students.
Working with the City of Cambridge and HMFH Architects, we helped outline a multi-phased, fast-track improvement plan that would provide increased program space and improved infrastructure, while incorporating enough sustainable elements to earn LEED Gold certification. The project phasing was leovegas online casino and sports bettingspecifically designed to maximize construction activity during school vacations and minimize impact on student life. The upgrades were spread across the campus library arts building and several classroom buildings, and included updated M/E/P systems with new rooftop units, updated fixtures and finishes and new ceilings in several of the buildings. In addition, the building received a full restoration and preservation of the exterior limestone and concrete façade.
