WASHINGTON, D.C. – Consigli Construction Co., Inc. announced the promotion of Phil Brault to Director of Operations for the Washington, D.C. office.  In his new role, Brault will focus on growth and development in the region, as well as day-to-day operations and leadership for the Washington, D.C. team.

Brault has been with Consigli for over 15 years and relocated to Washington, D.C. in 2018 to help build the company’s regional office. He has led some of the most complex and historically significant projects for Consigli during his tenure, including projects across D.C., New England and New York including the Chancellery Renovation at the Embassy of Switzerland, Ward Hall and Hartke Theatre at the Catholic University of America, The Hillel at George Washington University, the Smithsonian Institution’s National Zoological Park Pavilion and Police Station, and restoration projects for the National Park Service’s Netherlands Carillon and Meridian Hill. Additional notable projects include the Boston Public Library’s Johnson Building, The Boston Symphony Orchestra’s Linde Center for Music and Learning at Tanglewood, and Consigli’s award-winning restoration of the New York State Capitol Building.

“Throughout the years, Phil has been asked to take on some of our most challenging and complex projects, but it has been his ability to connect with people that has set him apart,” said Matthew Consigli, President of Consigli Construction Co., Inc.  “We are thrilled that he is taking the helm and look forward to supporting him in his new role.”

Brault is active in the community and is a member of several organizations including the D.C. Preservation League, where he is on the board of trustees and a member of both the Climate Action Committee and the Historic Project Review Committee.  He is also a Certified Construction Quality Manager for the US Army Corps of Engineers. Brault has been recognized with numerous awards including the Boston Business Journal’s 40 under 40, and Preservation Massachusetts’ Tsongas Award.

BOSTON, MA – Consigli’s Phil Brault recently spoke on WCVB’s Chronicle about the complexities of renovating a historic building located in the Charlestown Navy Yard into the Chain Forge Hotel.  He joined our client, Tom Miller of Kavanagh Advisory Group, who discussed the building’s history and existing conditions.  The building— listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a national historic landmark— was formerly used as a place for forging and assembling anchor chains.  Once completed, it will be a boutique hotel with a feature restaurant.
